Our Pour & Explore Sensory Jars contain approximately 2.5 cups of sensory mix, made with a variety of coloured rice, pasta and themed little trinkets.

Use it your way! The contents can be poured out into a tray or container for hands-on sensory play, or the lid can be secured/glued shut to create a contained sensory experience.

Shake it. Turn it. Roll it. Search it. Listen to it.

Sensory jars offer opportunities for visual, tactile and auditory sensory exploration. Watch the colours and little treasures move through the jar, feel the movement and weight as you hold and turn it, and listen to the different sounds created as the rice, pasta and trinkets tumble around.

A sensory jar can be a great alternative when a traditional sensory bin isn't the best fit. A secured sensory jar may be helpful for individuals who frequently mouth non-food items, have busy hands that may quickly scatter sensory materials, prefer a more contained sensory experience, are enthusiastic sensory explorers and big mess makers, or need something portable for travel, appointments, waiting rooms, restaurants and outings.

When securely closed, the jar allows the sensory mix to be explored without direct access to the small loose pieces inside.

Each jar is created by hand, so colours, pasta shapes and individual trinkets may vary slightly - making every sensory jar unique.
